Jingran Drip Marketing - the New 5★ Fusion Broadblade Resonator of Wuthering Waves 3.6
Kuro Games has officially revealed the two new resonators of the next patch, « Post-Lament Anthropocene: Stars Intertwined ». Meet Jingran, a Mengzhou-born Nethermancer wielding a Fusion Broadblade - and Qingxiao, the Aero Sword Transcendent revealed at his side. Here is everything the official drip marketing tells us.

Who is Jingran?
Revealed on July 16–17, 2026 on the official Wuthering Waves channels, Jingran is the headline resonator of the « Stars Intertwined » reveal wave. The official Resonator Preview confirms his combat identity: a 5-star Fusion attribute resonator wielding a Broadblade - the same weapon class as Jiyan, Changli's polar opposite in element handling, and the first Fusion Broadblade 5-star in the game.
« Spirits kneel at my feet. Illusory dread can't take hold of me. » - Jingran
The archive text paints him as a Mengzhou-born Nethermancer who « wanders between mirage realms and the ruins of the old world ». His eyes see what others cannot: the reverberations all things leave behind, the scars of a lost age. He answers to no sect's law and bows to no god's order - « wherever he goes, his own heart is the only law he consults, and the path he walks is one he carved himself ».
Jingran's kit teasers - what the lore hints at
Kuro's lore posts usually foreshadow actual kit mechanics, and Jingran's is unusually specific. A rare power resides in his right eye, letting him « seize scattered frequencies that slip past all conventional senses ». When his Resonance power reaches a critical threshold, he can raise an isolation barrier in real space, forcing every concealed frequency into the open.
His left eye hosts a high-order Remnant Creature, granting a further suite of abilities: frequency anchoring, shared perception, and the relaying of commands. Reading between the lines, this suggests a field-control oriented Main DPS - possibly with a debuff or marking mechanic (« anchoring »), off-field coordination (« shared perception, relaying commands »), and a threshold-based empowered state, in line with recent Fusion designs like Galbrena. Treat this as informed speculation until the 3.6 livestream confirms his full kit.
« Straight to the underworld… Couldn't have asked for better. » - Jingran
Qingxiao - the second 3.6 resonator

Revealed one day before Jingran, Qingxiao is a 5-star Aero Sword resonator. Her archive describes a reclusive sword cultivator holding a nominal post as Xuan Paragon of Xuanfang Hold - aloof, distant, seemingly untouched by feeling, and peerless with both qin and sword. To the world she is the Sword Transcendent, who has stood guard over these lands « for years beyond counting ».
« On the qin strings do eons sing, eternal peace my blade shall bring. » - Qingxiao
Her mastery lies in the « Heart Sword »: she forges thought itself into sword intent, splitting it in an instant into ten thousand flying blades that answer her will. A plucked string, a drifting petal, a falling leaf - in her hands, any of them is a sword. This strongly suggests a multi-hit, projectile-heavy Aero kit, which could pair with Aero Erosion teams built around Cartethyia and Ciaccona.
Expected release date
Patch 3.5 phase 2 (Suisui & Aemeath banners) runs until August 19, 2026. Following Kuro's regular six-week cadence, patch 3.6 « Post-Lament Anthropocene: Stars Intertwined » should go live around August 19–20, 2026. Drip marketing order usually mirrors banner order, which would put Jingran in phase 1 and Qingxiao in phase 2 - but Kuro has flipped that order before, so treat it as unconfirmed until the special program airs (typically one week before patch launch).
FAQ
Is Jingran a 5-star?
Yes - the official Resonator Preview card shows a 5-star rarity banner, with the Fusion attribute and Broadblade weapon icons.
Is Jingran the first male Fusion Broadblade?
Yes. Until now no 5-star combined Fusion with a Broadblade - the closest profiles are Jiyan (Aero Broadblade) and Changli (Fusion Sword).
Will Jingran and Qingxiao be on separate banners?
Most likely, one per phase of patch 3.6 - Kuro has used that structure in every recent patch, but the split is not officially confirmed yet.
Where were they revealed?
On the official Wuthering Waves X (Twitter) account on July 15–17, 2026, through the usual drip-marketing sequence: silhouette teaser, archive lore post, then Resonator Preview with attribute and weapon.
